Realtor
Richard LeBert built this house on property purchased by his wife, Louise. Over
the years, he was a justice of the peace, county clerk and recorder, U.S. Surveyor
general, and U.S. consul to Ghent, Belgium. The couple lived here nine years before
selling the house to pioneer Colorado rancher William A. Braiden, a founder of
the American National Cattlemen's Association.
This
simple, boxy, symmetrical structure with its centered dormer and full porch is
a good example of the Denver Square.
