BROWN
PALACE HOTEL
17th STREET and
BROADWAY
This
grand sandstone structure is one of Colorado's most famous historic buildings.
Constructed between 1890 and 1892, its unique triangular design brought archetect
Frank E. Edbrooke considerable acclaim. An illustration of the hotel appeared
on the front cover of the May 21, 1892, issue of Scientific American, accompanied
by an article praising the hotel's many modern aspects.
