Why Certify Your Home

• Certifying your home is an ideal way to showcase the time and care you have put in to maintaining your home's distinctive characteristics
• Certifying your home provides an incentive for future owners to continue the stewardship of Denver's diverse urban neighborhoods
• Certifying your home will allow Historic Denver to create a record of Denver's residential architecture and its contribution to the city's historic fabric
• Entitles homeowners to the following
  • Discounts with Program Partners
  • One Year membership in Historic Denver and subscription to Historic Denver News
  • Discounts to Historic Denver lectures
  • Access to references for preservation and restoration specialists

Criteria for Home Certification

• Original windows and doors intact or replaced with sensitivity to architecture
• Original building material of exterior walls and accents intact or restored
• If there are additions, they are sensitive to the original construction with respect to the scale of the original portion of the home and the quality of craftsmanship
• Authenticity of materials

How to Certify Your Home

• Print this application and send the application and check to
  Historic Denver .
• Historic Denver will review the applications for certification and will notify the homeowner within two to four weeks.
• Upon approval of certification, the homeowner will receive the Certified Historic Denver Home plaque.
