EISENHOWER CHAPEL
ROSLYN STREET AND 3RD AVENUE
Architectural style: COLONIAL REVIVAL

Built: 1941
Cost: $28,000

Eisenhower Memorial Chapel No. 1 (Building 27), the first church built at Lowry, was dedicated just fourteen day before the bombing of Pearl Harbor swept the U.S. into World War II... President Dwight Eisenhower and his wife, Mamie, attended church here in 1953-1955 when Lowry became their summer White House.

The Quaint, traditional look of Eisenhower Chapel No. 1 (Building 27) has made it one of the most photographed buildings at Lowry.
