The Colorado
Historical Foundation has released a study that outlines the many
economic benefits generated by historic preservation activities
in Colorado over the past 20 years, and reveals the significance
of historic preservation, acting as an engine for economic development
not only for the entire state, but also for each Colorado community
and individual citizens.
The study focuses
on two main areas. The first area of emphasis is statewide economic
activity. Including economic benefits triggered by the rehabilitation
of historic building sand heritage tourists. The second area of
emphasis is the effect of local landmarking on individual historic
properties featuring several Denver neighborhoods. For more information
about the study, please call 303.894.2503, or visit the Colorado
Historical Foundation Web site at www.cohf.org.
