Danish Lutherans built the church in 1912. After 1930 ownership was slowly transferred to the Four Winds congregation.

Four Winds offers a wide range of opportunities for Native Americans to reconnect. Traditional quilting and beadwork is offered for women. Four Winds reaches out to those in need of food, clothing, or job assistance. Ms. Marlene Rouillard, one of Four Winds community leaders, reaches out to abused women. She teaches young women to reclaim their personal power. Ms. Rouillard teaches women that, "they are the backbone of their community" and must be honored. One of most powerful connections for Native Americans is to participate in Ceremony. Every Sunday staring at 11:00am people of all Native American Nations are welcomed to take part in Sacred Ceremony. Four Winds warmly welcomes all that long to reunite with the People.
