Quick Details
Our next installment of this much loved series takes us to Riverside Cemetery. Dating back to 1876, it is the final resting place for many early Denver pioneers, from “Aunt” Clara Brown to Augusta Tabor and Barney Ford to Silas Soule. Join us for cocktails, a presentation and a walk through Riverside’s history, and experience the buildings, headstones, and stories that make this cemetery so unique.
Our program will begin at 4:30pm with cocktails, mocktails and light appetizers. Then we’ll hear a short history presentation and get a chance to walk to several key graves.
The program will conclude promptly at dusk and, with 77 acres and over 67,000 graves, there is a lot to see. Feel free to come prior to the start time to do a little exploring on your own.
This does involve walking on uneven terrain to visit the gravesites, so appropriate footwear is recommended.
