Our newest tour explores the ever-evolving “Main Street” of Denver. Learn how 16th Street won the title of Denver’s “Main Street” in the late 1800s and became a destination for retail, entertainment, and transportation. Whether you have walked 16th Street a million times or are new to Denver, you will appreciate 16th Street in a new light.
On this guided walking tour you will:
- View buildings designed in a wonderful mix of architectural styles by some of Colorado’s most prominent architects
- Learn how this once dusty and desolate land became the place for the movers and shakers to display their wealth
- Learn about the changes that have occurred in the neighborhood over the past 150 years
- The tour will begin at 16th and Larimer, it ends at 16th and Tremont. The free shuttle can bring you back to the start location at the end of the tour.
