Gifts of Securities
Donate your stocks, bonds, or other securities and earn tax benefits at the same time. If you have held your securities for more than one year, you can make a fully tax-deductible gift valued at its market value at the time of donation, even if the value at the time of purchase was less. There is no capital gains tax due on the stocks appreciation.
Gifts of stocks or other appreciated assets can be a meaningful way to support Historic Denver. To receive transfer instructions or discuss your gift, please contact us directly, we are happy to assist and ensure the process is easy and secure.

Donor-Advised Funds & IRA Rollover Gifts
Donor-Advised Funds:
Make a grant recommendation in support of Historic Denver from your donor advised fund. Note that grants cannot be used to pay existing pledges or to purchase tickets to an event. Historic Denver cannot provide more than incidental benefits to an individual who recommends a grant from a donor-advised fund.
IRA Qualified Charitable Contributions:
If you are 70 ½ or older, you can make tax-free charitable gifts of up to $100,000 directly from your Individual Retirement Account. These gifts can be used to meet all or part of an IRA required minimum distribution. Contact your financial representative to take advantage of this benefit while generously supporting Historic Denver. Donors who make a Qualified Charitable Distribution from an IRA may not accept tangible benefits in exchange for their gifts, nor purchase tickets to events with their gift.
Matching Gift Opportunities
Maximize your impact with Employer Donation Matching. Many companies offer programs that match their employees’ charitable contributions. To check your eligibility, contact your HR or Benefits team to see if your company participates.
