Fishman will explore the historical moment during which Golda Meir is in Denver, and how her experiences here shaped her political outlook. Golda went on to become the fourth Prime Minister of Israel and the western world’s first woman to be democratically elected to lead a country. We will also discuss the preservation of the home in the 1980s, as well as an exciting look at the work that has happened in the past year to reinterpret the site and increase public access.
