Interested In Leading Walking Tours?
We Need You!
We are looking for passionate volunteer docents to join the team!
We'll begin recruiting for our
next class of walking tour
guides this fall.
If you are interested in becoming a volunteer, please feel free to fill out the application. We are currently taking a pause from training new guides due to the COVID-19 pandemic. When will review applications when we resume and contact applicants about the next step in the training process.
Please fill out the interest form below.
The Walking Tours are 85-90 minutes long and will take place rain, shine or snow. The regular season of tours are held from May 1 through October 31 and volunteer docents must be able to commit to at least 2 tours (3 hours) of guiding each month, as well as transportation time for each commitment.
Your name will be saved in our system and we will contact you at the end of 2021 for a potential 2022 docent interview. Upon passing the interview, you will be notified of your acceptance into the program. Accepted Volunteer Docents are required to commit to and successfully complete 5 Saturdays of intensive training courses, which will make you an expert in all things Denver! Training includes expert speakers, field work, hands-on activities and even a bit of homework, and are held the end of January through early March.
